Whenever I'm up that end of town, probably doing a bit of loitering among the books in Waterstones, I love to drop by for a pint. Its also a good wee place for some honest, no nonsense grub, which is good. Gastro pub eating and all those amazing places serving food from all round the world have sprung up EVERYWHERE. That's really great, and I love them. But sometimes a chat with mates and cottage pie or macaroni cheese is what you need. At least it is for me, at any rate.
