The 'Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre' (to use its full name) was built in the mid-1980s. It quickly became Scotland's most visited attractions.

Host to many of the most popular pop groups, classical sounds and kids fun shows as well as great annual events like the Modern Homes Exhibition, Glasgow is lucky to have this fun place as part of its everyday life.

With a wide, airy concourse and several halls of varying size and smaller rooms for more intimate events, it's all going on here.

Add to this as much car parking as needed, and easy links to the motorway and public transport system, and it makes sense that it remains so much bustling fun. From the very start, when the Scottish National Orchestra played to a full Hall 1, and UB40 played to a delighted capacity audience, the centre has gone from strength to strength.

Erasure has had us rocking several times over the years, and Cirque du Soleil have had us gasping at their feats.

Clyde Auditorium has added to the fun and style. Here's to lots more in the future...;-)
