Sorry, I'm getting carried away with myself... thinking about those massive open spaces so typical of the United States.

Covering all that ground must make the locals REALLY hungry. Which might explain the ENORMOUS portions they manage to guzzle through.

Eating the North Americal way doesn't mean you have to 'super-size' everything. Yuk! But it does mean you can expect burgers the size of door-stops, and steaks the size of small cars.

And lots of the dark fizzy drink (you know what I mean, don't you?) and gallons of bottled beers. And fries, ketchup and hash browns, although not usually on the same plate.

One thing is for sure. I've never heard of anyone leaving a North American diner feeling hungry. Take a seat, and tuck in.
