Would recommend to all lovers of natural wood - and the food is pretty amazing too! ;-) We fell in love with this place while on vacation there. Tim Stead is the designer and I believe he won an award. Completely with you on this one as it has always been a BIG part of why I love this Glasgow Merchant City institution. And, yes, the food and service are top notch too. Well deserved, as Gandolfi was a bit of a pioneer of cafe society in this area of the city - they located here many moons ago when absolutely no one else had.
