Glasgow Royal Concert HallJewel in Glasgow's Cultural Crown, and Crowd-Pleaser
 Glasgow Royal Concert Hall sprang to life in 1990, just in time for Glasgow's turn in the world spotlight as European City of Culture. Made from luscious blond sandstone on the outside, the decor inside is tranquil and relaxed. Just like the main concert hall, where magical acoustics mean every visitor has a great seat. The main auditorium seats almost 2,500 guests. Many great have played here, from Alison Moyet to Scottish Opera, from Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark to Celtic Connections performers. Of course, other areas within the Concert Hall make way for weddings, corporate events and smaller exhibits. Sitting pretty at the junction of Buchanan Street and Sauchiehall Street, we could hardly ask for a better spot for such a major Glaswegian venue.
