Fond New Memories
by Ed & Joan Millings

My wife Joan and I visited Glasgow for the first time, from Toronto this year. We wanted to avoid tourist places when it came to eating and drinking.
Of course, we wanted to see Mackintosh places, and the Burrell Collection blew us away.
So I did some surfing, and found an intriguing place in your Merchant City called Babbity Bowster. The name alone made me smile.
We made a point of visiting, and I must tell you that we were very impressed. We were made welcome, and when our accents were identified, we were joined in conversation with people at the next table.
After that, our plans changed for the rest of the day. We stayed put, sampling perhaps one too many of your Scotch malts!
We have many happy memories of our vacation in Glasgow, and Babbity Bowster is right there with the best of them.
Thank you very much.
