Cafe Source - fab stop on day out with grandparents

Cafe Source really was a surprise!
Yeah, there's the grandeur of St Andrews in the Square dominating the restored square! I always think the whole square would be perfect for a period drama - I can imagine horses trotting round, pulling traps fulls of gents in toppers and ladies in mammoth gowns!
And yeah this is one of the most lovely restored areas in Glasgow! But who'd have thought that in the basement is a cool bar cafe?
Fresh food, interesting fillings for wraps, paninis and sandwiches, home made soups. Perfect, especially if you're on the tourist trail. I discovered Cafe Source by chance. I'd been showing my grandparents round the Merchant City, although we'd started our walk at Strathclyde Uni, trying to spot which had been my room in halls, when I arrived in Glasgow - back in 1985!
A LOT has changed, and all for the better, I have to say! We kinda ran out of steam by the time we'd reached St Andrews in the Square. Seeing a sign for Cafe Source, I popped my head round the door, and was delighted by what I saw.
Friendly service in a quiet, restful space. All three of us breathed a sigh of relief while we took a load off.
I'm sure you'll feel the same.
Thanks, Cafe Source. We'll be back before long.
