Brooklyn Cafe has been in the same family hands since opening more than 70 years ago.

Lots of wood in the decor and huge glass windows give the place a cosy, real feel.

Classic Italian dishes are served up with care and in a laid back style.

Home made pate melts in the mouth, and the Brooklyn Cafe lasagne is enough for the biggest tummies around!

Truly a part of the local South Side culture, locals come back again and again for a coffee with friends, a chat and maybe a taste of the wicked ice creams on sale for diners and those wanting to take away.

It's hard work, after all...but someone has to do it.
