What fun we've had in Arta!
Hi, I'm Joseph, and I'd like to tell you about the time I played host to some friends who'd been living in Seville for years.
They weren't sure about having a break in Glasgow. Worried about what to expect, I though I'd have some gentle fun... Not at their expense, really. Just to show them how many WONDERFUL places there are to visit.
Arta was at the top of my list - after city greats like Charles Rennie Mackintosh stuff, the Burrell Colection and Kelvingrove Museum. The reason was I knew it would remind them of home in Seville, a little.
If only you'd seen their faces when we walked in! You could have knocked them over with a feather. It was SO FUNNY!
Actually, they got the message at that point. They love visiting Glasgow now, and have been back twice since. Needles to say, ARTA is on their list places to visit!
Who can blame them? Not me! I've been in Glasgow for about 15 years, having moved from Peterborough, and I've no intention of leaving...
