Anita Manning (owner of Great Western Auctions) has put Glasgow in the auction map with all of her zany appearances on the box. Her great barn full of antiques and collectibles is now tucked away down by the river near Victoria Park and well worth a trip.

Of course, Glasgow is chock-full of fine antiques shops and markets. If your perfect day is a guddle around the nooks and corners of little shops and creaky market stalls you will be in a personal heaven.
