RSAMDfor Impressive Shows, Gifted Students and the Stars of Tomorrow
 RSAMD, as its known locally, or Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama to give it a full title, is one of the shining lights in developing new talents in Scotland. Sitting pretty in its custom made building in Glasgow city centre, it can trace its roots back to the opening of the Glasgow Athenaeum in 1847. These days, events reflect the diverse nature of the teaching that takes place inside here. The opera school is one of the lead players, when it comes to shows. However, jazz, foreign composers and drama all have their say. Attending an event means you might see an established talent taking to the stage. Or you might see the Next Big Name, before stardom comes knocking. After all, recent Doctor Who, the popular David Tennant, trained here; whether time travel was involved remains unclear!
